We formed One Planet to bring together a team of people each with a proven track record of successful development in the renewable energy industry.


James Stoney is an experienced and entrepreneurial business development professional with a proven ability to develop, launch and sell technical products and services in new markets. He has worked in renewable energy since 2005. After taking a MSc at the Centre for Alternative Technology he founded and managed Leading Edge Power a company that manufactures wind turbines and remote power supplies. He then worked for Anesco – then the fastest growing company in the UK – where he signed development agreements on over 40 solar parks and over 100MW of O&M contracts. At KiWi Power James developed some of the earliest and largest behind the meter battery energy storage projects in the UK including the largest Tesla battery in Europe.  James looks after our business development.


David Peill brings over 25 years of property development, renewable energy and corporate finance expertise to the team.  After studying estate management he worked as a professional advisor with Savills plc for 10 years, before forming his own corporate finance boutique and commercial property fund.  More recently, as Commercial Director of the BSR Group for eight years he oversaw the development, subsequent funding, construction and onward sale of over 600MW of sites to a range of leading infrastructure investors.  He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and leads on all our commercial matters.


James Wallwork has over 18 years’ experience working in the real estate sector. Starting his career in London, he worked in commercial property development for Cushman & Wakefield and Miller Developments before entering the renewable energy sector in 2010. Prior to One Planet Developments, James led the development arm of Elgar Middleton Renewable Energy Investments Limited, a renewable energy developer based in London, where he sourced and managed the delivery of 11 solar projects totalling 156MW.  He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and concentrates on the development management of our projects.

Michael Campbell started his legal career at leading London firm Travers Smith.  After seven years he joined Serverside Group, a global fintech software provider where he headed the legal team working with more than 200 financial institutions worldwide.  Part of the management team that took the group through successful exit, he then joined Elgar Middleton, a leading UK financial advisor specialising in renewable technology.  His role was to establish and lead the firm’s development operations in relation to solar farms and anaerobic digestion plants.  A practising solicitor, he is responsible for our legal matters.
