Joint Ventures

One Planet is happy to enter joint ventures with commercial and rural landowners to develop, acquire and build projects.

Under this structure, One Planet and the landowner contribute equally to the costs of the development and share the development premium on the sale of the project rights or following construction of the solar farm. This allows landowners to receive increased returns (as well as receiving the long-term rental revenue stream).

It also gives the landowner additional insight into the process that we undertake. Communication is key to successful joint ventures, so we hold regular meetings with our partners to keep them informed of the project's progress through the development process.  This helps us learn about local sensitivities and priorities to make the planning process more efficient and more likely to be successful.

One Planet thinks that the commercial interests of the landowner and the developer should be aligned: our job is to ensure that the landowner's project is able to be delivered in a timely manner to a market willing to acquire, build and operate it to provide a long-term income stream to the landowner.

If this structure is of interest to you, please get in touch by calling us on

Painted Lady butterfly. Each year, it spreads northwards from the desert fringes of North Africa, the Middle East, and central Asia, recolonising mainland Europe and reaching Britain and Ireland. In some years it is an abundant butterfly, frequenting gardens and other flowery places in late summer.
