Meetlaw Energy Storage Project

We are engaging with the local community as part of our consultations before submitting a planning application for a battery energy storage system and associated infrastructure on land at Meetlaw Farm, Laurencekirk.

Following the first consultation event held on 26 October 2022, we held a second in-person consultation on 9 December 2022 between 12.30pm and 7.00pm at Drumlithie Village Hall, Station Rd, Drumlithie, Stonehaven AB39 3YT.  We discussed the proposed project with local participants  to share feedback received and how the applicant has responded to that, and to provide an update on timelines for the submission of the planning application.

The location of the proposed development is shown on the map, but please note that the final developed area will be a smaller site within the redline area indicated on the plan. Please click on the image to download a larger .pdf copy of the plan.

Further information can be downloaded by clicking on the button below:

Anyone wanting to make comments on the proposal can do so by filling in the form below no later than 19 December 2022:

Comments made to One Planet are not formal representations to Aberdeenshire Council.  If we submit a planning application there will be an opportunity to make formal representations on the application to Aberdeenshire Council.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us!
